Techniques
Acupuncture – Fine needles are inserted into the body at acupuncture points. These points are surrounded by nerve fibers and become stimulated when pressure is applied or needles are inserted. The sends signals to the brain to help the body return to produce neurotransmitters and hormones, which is what helps regulate the body and is responsible for the pleasurable and relaxing sensations many people experience during treatment.
Electroacupuncture – A gentle current is ran through the acupuncture needles to help provide continuous stimulation.
Chinese herbs – Herbal medicine can help with a variety of issues. Herbs can help regulate hormones, calm the nervous system and boost immunity, among other things. Herbs provide the body with continual treatment, even when away from the office.
Cupping – Cups are placed on the body by producing a suction and increasing circulation. The increase in circulation can also help with pain and pull out lingering toxins stored in the body.
Gua Sha– This method of treatment is done by taking special tool and scraping it along the skin. It also improves circulation and brings toxins to the surface, helping with pain by stimulating blood flow.
Moxabustion – This technique is done by burning mugwort and using the heat to help the boost immune system and maintain overall health.
